Though many of you by now would have installed and using Ubuntu , there are some important utilities that comes handy. I was working on my own project and I needed desktop recording software to record what ever I do.
Its sort of tutorials about many software that you can see on youtube.
Fun part is that out of curiosity, I checked a windows software which cost around 30$ .. phew!!! :P…
Coming over to Ubuntu I got to know a utility by name Recordyourdesktop. Its intuitive, simple and free.
People planning to install it , have to use the command
$ sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop
That’s it .. 🙂 A free utility to record your desktop .
One more thing. If you have a webcam , then there is a universal driver for it 🙂 Its called CHEESE ..yeah cheese please 🙂
To install it type
@sudo apt-get install cheese .. 🙂
Go to your terminal and type cheese & to run the program. Infact it has some inbuilt special effects as well.So its time to check it out:)
